Katherine Jenkins has hit back after leaked emails revealed David Beckham’s foul-mouthed rant about her receiving an OBE.
The 41-year-old footballer wrote, “Katherine Jenkins OBE for what? Singing at the rugby and going to see the troops plus taking coke. F***ing joke”, in just one of his emails that were hacked and released on Football Leaks over the weekend.
However, the 36-year-old classical singer has now defended her right to the award in the 2014 New Year Honours.
Her manager, Professor Jonathan Shalit, told The Sun, “Beckham says, ‘Katherine Jenkins OBE for what? Singing at the rugby and going to see the troops plus taking coke. F***ing joke’. I say Katherine was awarded an OBE for her services to music and charity.”

“With regards to the taking of coke which Katherine has courageously publicly admitted with great honesty — this was when she was in her early 20s still studying, over a decade before she was awarded her OBE and started her recording career.”
There’s a bit of history between Katherine and David, as the songstress was forced to deny “horrible rumours” that she was having an affair with David back in 2012.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote, “I absolutely deny I’ve had an affair with David Beckham.”
“I’ve only met David twice — at the Military Awards in 2010, and a night out with friends in 2012. I have never been on my own with him and never arranged to meet up,” she added.
Since David’s emails were leaked, it has been alleged that hackers attempted to blackmail him for £1 million before leaking the emails.
