Jack Fincham said he is “always going to have a lot of love” for ex-girlfriend, Dani Dyer.
The Love Island stars announced their split at the start of April, after dating for 10 months.
Jack has now made his first television appearance since their split and spoke about his relationship with Dani on Good Morning Britain.
“I’m always going to have a lot of love for her, we are on good terms, it’s just life,” he said.
The 27-year-old added that he hasn’t spoken to his ex’s father, Danny since their split: “I haven’t spoken to him – but everything is all on good terms. It’s just a shame.”
“It just didn’t work out but I wish her all the best and I really want her to be happy. There’s a lot of feelings there, we have been through a lot together and I just want what’s best for her,” he continued.
Jack also admitted that he doesn’t think they will ever get back together and when asked about rekindling their romance, he said: “I don’t think so”.
When asked if he still “fancied” his ex, Jack responded: “Of course I still fancy her”.
The Love Island star also responded to claims that his relationship with Dani was for publicity, as the 23-year-old previously announced their split in December – before saying that they hadn’t actually parted, but just had an argument.
“I can honestly say, never, ever, ever would I do anything for show like that. I haven’t got the heart for it, I would get too upset,” he said.
