Gemma Collins FINALLY breaks silence over Dancing on Ice comments – after Matt Evers denies ‘nap’ rumours

Gemma Collins has finally broken her silence over Kem Cetinay, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby’s Dancing on Ice comments – after Matt Evers denied the “nap” rumours.

The reality star came under fire earlier this week, when Holly branded her “unprofessional” for leaving the show early on Sunday evening and Kem claimed that she was late to a dress rehearsal because she was “having a nap”.

While the 37-year-old stayed quiet on social media amid the celebs’ comments, Gemma has finally broken her silence on Instagram.

Gemma took to her Instagram Story this morning to slam the claims, as she said: “Good morning everyone. So sorry for my eyes looking so heavy. Obviously I’ve been really devastated by all the hurtful press reports this week, which haven’t been true.”

“But I’m not giving up, I’m not quitting. I’m here with the team. I’ve got the shakes where I’ve been so upset. Please don’t believe what’s been put out there. Do I want to quit? Yes but I’m not gonna. It’s really got me down this week but I hope you enjoy our routine this Sunday.”

The TOWIE star went on to address claims that she kept telling the camera crew to stop filming her training, as she videoed herself asking the cameramen: “Did I tell you at any point to get your cameras off the ice?”

“Er. No, we’re always here, always filming. Not us anyway,” they responded, before she jokingly told the crew to get off the ice.

“The reason I haven’t been on social media before talking about this, me and Matt have been so upset. We were shell-shocked, we didn’t know what to do, we were heartbroken.”

Gemma’s videos comes after her skating partner, Matt Evers, also denied the claims on Lorraine this morning.

“Gemma did not take a nap, [as was claimed]. We’re there first thing in the morning on Sunday. We do camera blocking, then a dress rehearsal…by the time the show starts at 6pm, you’re exhausted.”

“We weren’t performing a competition number on Sunday… after the group number she thought she was free to go. She got a text from her car saying it had arrived, and she asked somebody if she could go and they said, ‘yeah, you’re done.’ She didn’t have a nap, I wish we could have a nap on Sundays!” the skater said.
