Gemma Collins’ awkward magazine interview has gone viral, as she slammed the  interviewer for not reading her new book.

The former TOWIE star was on a press tour promoting her new book, How To Be A Diva, when Gemma blasted the reporter for not doing her “research”.

In a bid to expose Gemma’s diva tendencies, Now magazine published the entire interview – and it makes for some awkward reading.

Speaking to the journalist, the reality star said, “Ok, so you’re doing this interview without having done any research or read the book or anything?”

Gemma’s PR team stepped in and told the star that only a number of books had been sent out for the press to read, however, Gemma continued being rude to the interviewer.

“Erm… have they given you any stuff from the book? Then you would know… it’s going to be hard to do this if you don’t know,” she said.

The 37-year-old eventually answered with, “Basically, it’s a real fun, fun, fun guide to life and being the best version of you.”

The journalist then asked Gemma what she thought the best part of her book was, and she terminated the interview with a snappy response.

“Well, if you read it you would know, so… I think I’ll wait until you get a copy and then you’ll be able to embrace the book,” she said.

The blonde diva added, “It’s hard to do an interview if you haven’t done any research on the book or been sent it… maybe we’ll do this another time.”

Since the interview went viral, Gemma appeared on Loose Women, where she addressed the awkward chat.

The reality star said, “Obviously I’m told I’ve got to do a bit of press about the book. I’ve done other interviews with magazines when I’ve been briefed not to answer anything, that’s not about the book.”

Gemma added, “So Now asked me about my mum, my cat, my dog… so I asked her, Have you actually read the book?”
