Former Love Island contestant claims the villa is INFESTED with rats and ants

"There are ants all over the kitchen crawling all over food"

A former Love Island contestant has claimed that the Love Island villa is infested with rats and ants.

Speaking to The Sun Online, the former contestant, who asked to remain anonymous, said, “There are ants all over the kitchen crawling all over food – trails of them are going towards the bread and fruit.”

They continued, “The nastiest thing is rats. Some people don’t care, but others found it really horrible. If they bothered cleaning up after themselves it wouldn’t be going on, It’s filthy.”

The news won’t come as a surprise to fans, as viewers were quick to notice the mess in the girls dressing room, after just nine days in the villa.

“The state of the girls dressing room gives me major anxiety. #LoveIsland,” one Twitter user wrote.

While another posted, “The state of the girls dressing room on love island makes me feel sick, how can you live in a place that’s filthy #LoveIsland.”

Meanwhile, Chris Williamson, who appeared on the first season of the hit TV show, has been spilling secrets from what the Islanders get up to inside the villa.

Speaking on his podcast, Chris said, “Once a week we were allowed to leave the villa and weren’t filmed so none of the viewers would ever know.”

He continued, “There was a day every week when footage wasn’t needed, which was liberating as you could talk about anything.”
