David Beckham was slammed by fans for kissing his daughter, Harper, on the lips.
The former footballer sparked controversy when shared a snap giving the seven-year-old a peck on the lips, as they went ice-skating together.
Fans were quick to comment on the picture, as many hit out at David and branded him “weird” and “inappropriate.”
“She’s your daughter… why are you kissing on her lips..?” one follower wrote.
“It’s weird lol for a father and daughter to lip kiss in counties other than America and England. It’s weird asf,” another said.
David’s Instagram followers weren’t the only ones to comment on the picture, as Piers Morgan also weighed in on the controversy during a segment on Good Morning Britain today.
“If the kid’s seven you don’t kiss them on the lips. My son’s got a firm handshake or the 50 Cent shoulder thing, or a full manly hug. I think it’s weird,” the presenter said.
“They want their kids to be famous and then they complain about their privacy,” he continued.
Meanwhile, many have defended the 43-year-old and even NFL star, Tom Brady, commented on the post: “Dad and daughter. So sweet!”

“It’s a beautiful photo of a loving father. Why do people have to ruin something so innocent,” another commented.
This isn’t the first time David has sparked controversy with a snap kissing his daughter, as he also caused debate when he posted a similar photo last year.
