Exclusive! Love Island’s Jack Fowler and Laura Crane open up about the support they receive from their fellow islanders

Love Island’s Jack Fowler and Laura Crane have opened up about the support they’ve received from their fellow islanders.

The couple appeared at the launch of the new The Couture Club store in Dundrum on Friday and the pair seemed super loved up.

Although they have been out of the villa for over a month, the Love Island stars still miss going to sleep and waking up next to their fellow islanders every day.

“It’s literally like having a massive sleepover every night of the week. It’s like a teenagers dream!” Laura explained.

“Someone’s always bantering. It might be 2AM and someone’s doing something. Like Wes, making a stupid noise or Paul. Yeah, I miss it all,” Jack said.

The islanders have all kept in contact with each other since leaving the villa and Laura explained how the group have all supported each other since the show finished.

“The hardest thing, because obviously you spend so much time together inside the house and you create these really important friendships, that you can’t really relate to other people when you come out,” the 23-year-old told us.

“You go like, ‘I’m going to do this. I’m struggling with this at the moment’ so you all have each other’s back. We’ll be like ‘I was the same last week’ or ‘I just did this’ so you’re all there to help each other,” she continued.

Although they may not be spending much time together, due to their busy schedules, Jack said that the group continue to check up on one another.

“Yeah, something’s always going on. For me, Josh was literally like down the road from me, so it’s quite convenient. Wes as well, lives around the corner now, he lives in Essex with Megan. We always talk to each other,” the 22-year-old explained.

“We’re always communicating to each other and making sure that we’re okay. We know that when everything calms down a little bit and we have some time together, we can do something.”

As for their experience since leaving the show, the couple revealed that they were extremely nervous.

“We were more scared coming out, than going in!” Jack said.

Laura stated that they were even scared to get their phones back: “We didn’t want our phones back. When they gave them to us we were like ‘Nah.'”

“The first thing we did was talk to family. Because we would have done something on the Tuesday and we got our phones back on the Thursday because we had to wait for you guys to see it (the most recent episodes),” Jack explained.

“So we didn’t have any contact until the Thursday evening. We were on the way to the airport and that’s when we got our phones back,” he continued.

“It was just mayhem, I remember going on Instagram and seeing a blue tick there and thinking ‘What the hell!’. The weird thing is seeing stuff posted on my Instagram that I didn’t know about because obviously I had my manager and my friends looking after it. So, that was strange.”

The footballer stated that he was “very, very nervous” leaving the show.

His girlfriend was surprised by the reaction when she left and said: “I think for me, because I was only in there for ten days, I was like ‘Nothing will change, I can come back out and that will be it. But no, it’s been mad! I’ve had to move to London, so it’s been massive. I don’t think you can ever prepare for what will happen when you come out of there.”

As for her surfing career, Laura said that it will always be a huge passion of her’s: “Surfing will always be a massive part of my life. Everything that I’m kind of starting to do now with brands and stuff, it’s all tied in with surfing. So it’s nice that it’ll always be a massive part of me.”

The couple joined stars such as Ellie Jones, Brooke Vincent and The Couture Club creators, Ross Worwick and Scott Shashua at the brand’s Dublin launch.
