Ed Sheeran has revealed that Taylor Swift helped set him up with his fiancé Cherry Seaborn.
The singer-songwriter, who announced his engagement to Cherry last month, admitted that he and Cherry first got together at Taylor’s house.
In a behind the scenes video, Ed explained, “My relationship started on the Fourth of July,” to which Taylor responded, “At whose house?!”
The Shape Of You singer went on to confirm that it was indeed Taylor’s house, and he thanked Taylor for allowing him to invite Cherry to her annual Independence Day party.
“So the story was, I was at Taylor’s party, and then a girl I went to school with who’s pretty cool ended up being in Rhode Island… I was like, ‘Taylor, can she turn up?’ And here we are,” he said, before Taylor added, “She is the coolest.”
Taylor went on to say, “Remember the sign that I made for your first anniversary?’, and Ed recalled, “Happy Anniversa-Cherry?”
“Happy Ed-iver-Cherry!” she said, “I’m still excited about it. It took me so long to think of both of your names…”
