David Walliams opened up about Ant McPartlin’s “emotional” return to Britain’s Got Talent.

The presenter returned to work with co-host, Declan Donnelly earlier this year, after he took a break to enter rehab for his alcohol addiction.

The 43-year-old is set to return to screens on Saturday 6th April for the first show of Britain’s Got Talent and David said that it was emotional seeing the presenters back on-stage together.

“It was lovely to see when they stepped back on the stage in London how excited people were to see them together. It was really emotional and I was pleased for them,” he told The Mirror.

“It was just how it always was,” he added.

Fellow BGT judge, Alesha Dixon added that Ant’s return felt “normal” and said: “It’s been like getting the family back together, it just feels normal.”

“We’ve been working together for so long now that when we’re together it just feels right.”
