David Beckham looks completely unrecognisable in a new photo posted to Instagram.
The footballing legend underwent an extreme makeover for his role in Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur, leaving him with a huge scar down one side of his face, and a set of rotting teeth.
Taking to Instagram, the Brit showed off his new look with a grimace.
Sharing the look with his 34.6m followers, he wrote “Rough day at the office @kingarthurmovie @guyritchie.”
Fans of the former England captain commented under the post saying, “This is horrible,” “absolutely hideous” and “what happened?”
Becks confirmed the role in an interview with The Times in 2015, saying, “I had 13 lines and practised a huge amount beforehand. Guy had someone come and rehearse with me, and I did that an hour every day in the build-up.”
He also added that filming had been “nerve wracking” but he’d enjoyed it.
Director Guy Ritchie told The Sun, “David really is one of the best men you could wish to meet and fantastic to have around on a film set.”
