Actor Colin Firth has announced that he has split from his wife Livia Giuggioli.
The 59-year-old released a statement through his publicist, advising that the couple will “remain united” for their children.
The couple had three children together – Will, Luca and Mateo.
In a statement, his publicist said: “Colin and Livia Firth have separated. They maintain a close friendship and remain united in their love for their children.
“They kindly ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”
It is not the first time the couple have called time on their relationship.
The pair announced in 2018 that they had quietly split for a period of time, and during that time Livia became involved with Marco Brancacci.
The announcement came after leaked court documents revealed that Livia was pressing charges against Marco for stalking her.
A rep told E! News at the time: “A few years ago Colin and Livia privately made the decision to separate. During that time Livia briefly became involved with former friend Mr Brancaccia. The Firths have since reunited.”
She then dropped the case against him in a bid to prevent details of their affair being leaked.
