Cheryl in negotiations to star in THIS West End production

The singer is trying her hand at stage acting

Cheryl is rumoured to be joining a major West End production.

According to The Daily Mail, the singer is in talks to join the cast of the West End production of ‘Chicago’.

She watched the show on Wednesday with friends and supposedly met with the producers John Kander and Fred Ebb.

Nothing has been confirmed yet about how long she will be joining the musical for, it may just be a short celebrity stint but negotiations are underway according to The Daily Mail.

The mother of one is set to take on the iconic role of Roxie Hart, who is sent to jail after she shoots her lover. The musical follows her time in jail and her quest to be released. A spokesman for Cheryl confirmed to The Daily Mail that she did indeed go to see ‘Chicago’ “with friends, as she is a fan of the show.” Her rep didn’t deny that she might end up appearing in the production.

The Daily Mail report that the former Girls Aloud star met with producers of the John Kander and Fred Ebb musical. Barry Weissler, the main producer was also over from New York which further fuelled excitement about Cheryl’s negotiations to join the show running in the Phoenix Theatre.
