Cheryl and her ex Liam Payne have both been booked to perform on The X Factor, but bosses have already put plans in place to make sure they don’t cross paths.

The couple, who announced their split in July, are both set to perform “break-up songs” during the live shows – Cheryl is expected to perform her new single Love Made Me Do It, while Liam will likely sing his new song Polaroid.

A source told The Mirror: “Cheryl is relaunching her music career on the show, and Liam will be trying to get a top hit after his last record, First Time, flopped.”

“It will be interesting to see how they both do when given the same platform.”

“Both have written about the breakdown of their relationship in their new music, so they could end up singing about their break-ups on the same stage.”

Meanwhile, The Sun has revealed that Cheryl’s comeback track focuses on her split from Liam, and all of her failed romances from over the years.

In the song, Cheryl calls herself a “sucker” because she “falls in love” with “every f***er”.

A source said: “It is a very edgy pop-dance track and not a typical song which you would expect from Cheryl. She’s not holding back on her feelings and inevitably it will lead to a lot of speculation.”
