Celebrities pay tribute to Manchester attack victims – one year after the devastating tragedy

The terror attack killed 22 people and injured more than 500

Celebrities around the world have paid tribute to the victims of the Manchester terror attack.

On May 22, 2017, a terrorist detonated an explosive device as fans were leaving Ariana Grande’s concert at the Manchester Arena – killing 22 people, and injuring more than 500.

After Ariana posted an emotional tribute on Twitter this morning, stars like Michelle Keegan, Scarlett Moffatt, and Vicky Pattison have since followed suit by paying tribute to the victims and their families.

Actress Michelle, who is from Manchester, wrote, “Together we stand. #manchesterremembers #ManchesterTogether #always ????❤”.

Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison shared the names of the victims and wrote, “A year ago today Manchester, Great Britain and the world was struck by tragedy. The terror attack at last year’s @arianagrande concert shook the world.”

The reality star continued, “Today, I’ll be thinking about each and every one of these people and the survivors too. Who in the wake of such grief, loss and great adversary have remained strong and inspirational.”

“I’ve been lucky enough to meet @bradley.hurley and @freya_lewis this year and their resilience and strength humbled me beyond belief. My thoughts and prayers are with the families. We stand together.”

Comedian John Bishop wrote, “Thoughts and prayers today are with all those who were affected by events in Manchester a year ago.”

Laura Whitmore also shared her tributes to the victims.

The presenter mentioned that Manchester was truly an amazing city, and that she was sending lots of love.

Scarlett Moffatt tweeted, “Today we #standtogether to remember those who lost their lives in the Manchester Arena attack a year ago. My thoughts are with their families and friends, the injured and the emergency services who responded on that night,”

Ariana Grande’s mother also simply tweeted, “All my love, Manchester.”
