Ashley Roberts has opened up about her relationship with Strictly Come Dancing pro Giovanni Pernice.
The former Pussycat Doll was partnered with Pasha Kovalev on the show in 2018, while Giovanni was paired with Steps singer Faye Tozer.
Despite not being coupled up, the pair sparked up a romance behind the scenes, and their relationship is still going strong.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain ahead of her debut in the musical Waitress next month, the 37-year-old said: “We had a romance on the show, it evolved into something so much bigger after that.”
“I feel like we have a real connection, he’s supportive and he’s so excited I’m doing Waitress. He said, ‘I’m gonna be there on the 17th June for the first night.'”
When asked if she fears the notorious Strictly curse ahead of the show’s new season later this year, Ashley said: “That is a good question, but I do trust him.”
