Asan N’jie ‘dropped from Emmerdale’ following bust-up with Jamie Lomas

ITV have terminated his contract following an investigation

Asan N’jie has been dropped from Emmerdale, following an incident at the TV Choice Awards.

The 25-year-old actor got into a massive row with Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas at the showbiz bash on Monday night.

In a video shared by The Mirror, Asan can be heard shouting, “Do you think you are a f***ing big man? I’m going to f***ing kill you.”

Yesterday, an ITV spokesperson said that they were going to fully investigate the altercation.

Today, news emerged that the investigation has resulted in Asan’s “immediate” dismissal.

A representative for ITV said: “ITV executives have met with him this morning and as a consequence, Asan’s contract has been terminated with immediate effect.”

It’s unknown for sure what the row was about, but it may be over Asan losing out on a TV Choice Award to Kara-Leah Fernandes.

The 12-year-old won Best Soap Newcomer, for which N’jie was nominated.

At the end of the video of the fight, someone can be overheard shouting “It’s only a TV Choice Award” at the furious actor.

Asan has now issued a remorseful apology to Jamie, his Emmerdale co-stars, ITV, his fans and the organisers of the TV Choice Awards.

In a statement, he said: “My behaviour at the TV Choice Awards was completely unacceptable and very much out of character.”
