Ant McPartlin’s divorce from wife Lisa Armstrong could be set to turn nasty, as the make-up artist is reportedly looking to hire the UK’s most feared divorce lawyer, Baroness Fiona Shackleton.

The solicitor, who has previously been dubbed the Steel Magnolia, is in talks to represent Lisa, as she battles for a share of Ant’s £62million fortune – and his future earnings.

A source told The Sun, “If he (Ant) thought this was going to be straightforward and amicable, he could not have been more wrong.”

“Ant should now understand that he is in for a turbulent few months. If the end of his marriage to Lisa has not yet hit home, it is about to.”

Ant announced his plans to divorce Lisa last month, after 11 years of marriage.

Lisa is now said to be liaising with Baroness Shackleton and Fiona Kelk, who is listed as a PA at her legal firm.

Fiona Shackleton’s past client clients include Royals Prince Charles and Prince Andrew, comedian David Walliams, chef Rick Stein, F1 heiress Petra Ecclestone, musician Liam Gallagher and Thierry Henry’s ex Claire Merry.

The legal eagle famously represented Sir Paul McCartney in his divorce from Heather Mills back in 2008, and at the time the solicitor hit headlines as she emerged from court with damp hair after Heather threw water at her.

Heather had demanded £125million in the settlement, but thanks to Fiona’s representation, she left the court with just £24.3million.

However, the solicitor first hit the headlines back in 1996 as she represented Prince Charles in his split from Princess Diana, and won a major victory in court when Diana was forced to relinquish her HRH title.

Fiona remains Prince William and Prince Harry’s solicitor.

She is also partner at leading law firm Payne Hicks Beach, and has penned a book called ‘The Divorce Handbook’.

According to reports in The Sun on Sunday over the weekend, Lisa could pocket almost five times the touted £31million settlement from her divorce from Ant.

A friend told The Sun, “Lisa means business. She didn’t want the marriage to end. She has been through trauma, but is finding peace of mind in the hope she has the best in the business to fight her corner.”
