Ant McPartlin and Lisa Armstrong are reported to have had a massive argument about their dog just before the actor was arrested for drinking driving.
The Mirror report that the fight, at lunchtime on March 19th, got so bad that Lisa’s dad had to intervene.
A short time later that afternoon the TV presenter was arrested after he ploughed his Mini into a vehicle, an incident which left a child in hospital, while he was two times over the legal drink driving limit.
One of the makeup artists friends revealed to The Mirror that, “Lisa was at home with her dad when Ant rang.”
“The conversation quickly got heated – it was to do with who should have Hurley next, as they are meant to be sharing custody.”
“It quickly descended into angry words and swearing between them,”
“At one point, Lisa’s dad took the phone out of Lisa’s hand and firmly told Ant, ‘Don’t you dare speak to my daughter like that’.”
The Mirror also heard from one of Ant’s friends who said, “Lisa is no angel in this. She would have been giving it back, and then some.”
“There have been so many arguments over Hurley. It’s been rooted in the fact Lisa refused to believe the marriage was over and was being stubborn at every single turn.”
The former couple made headlines again early on Sunday morning when Lisa revealed she was heartbroken upon hearing the news that her ex-husband had moved on with his personal assistant, and her former friend, Anne-Marie Corbett.
