AJ and Curtis Pritchard open up about horrifying nightclub attack

AJ and Curtis Pritchard have opened up about their horrifying nightclub attack.

The professional dancers were attacked by a group of eight men in their local nightclub over the Christmas.

While AJ recently finished dancing on Strictly Come Dancing, Curtis was forced to pull out of the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars Ireland due to the injuries he received.

The brothers’ father briefly updated fans on their wellbeing following the St. Stephen’s Day incident, but now the professional dancers have spoken out on This Morning.

“We feel safe in our hometown. The club is  just ten minutes from our house,” AJ said.

“We are always working in different countries – it was supposed to be Curtis’s New Year because he was meant to be going back to Ireland for work.”

Curtis attempted to block his brother from the eight attackers on the night, which resulted in him being knocked out and will force him to get knee surgery.

When asked if he felt the attack was made to prevent him from dancing, the 22-year-old responded: “I would hate to say because for someone to think like that is a horrible thought.”

The pair were rushed to hospital soon after the incident and police said that one man was arrested, but was later released “under investigation pending further inquiries.”
