People were very confused when the  2017 Brit Awards appeared to be hacked.
While The 1975 performed their hit song The Sound, mysterious images flashed on screen similar to the tune’s music video.
As front man Matt Healy jumped around on stage, pink flashes jumped on screen with various sentences hitting out at the group.
“Unconvincing emo lyrics” and “Totally lacking the wow factor” were just some of the harsh words that appeared on screen.
Either their vision mixer hates their job or this is part of the show?!!!! #brits pic.twitter.com/ZuY9CSg0Wv

Viewers watching the Brit Awards questioned what was going on.
Many took to Twitter to post videos and images of what was happening.
However, others mentioned that the images flashing on screen were planned by the 1975 as it was very similar to how their music video for The Sound was.
Either that was meant to happen or someone’s getting the sack! #Brits #Messages @ITV
