X Factor's Ben Quinlan: 'Mel B was a BULLY to me… I was left very upset'

X Factor hopeful Ben Quinlan has revealed he felt “bullied” by Mel B – as she roared at him to get off the stage.

The Kerry man was booted from bootcamp by the furious Spice Girl, as she ranted at him during his audition at Wembley Arena.

The 19-year-old said he was left “upset” and “badly affected” by her harsh treatment

Viewers watched as Mel B told him: “I can’t take this, let’s stop that”.

And when he asked for a second chance, she screamed: “No, get off! Get off, get off, just get off the stage now!”

And Ben admitted he found the roaring from Scary Spice to be extremely unnerving – and unnecessarily brutal.

He said: “I found it very unfair and very upsetting. Shouting at someone is not constructive.

“I thought her behaviour as an artist towards me and the other lads was totally inappropriate. I saw the tears of some of the others lads, I’ll never forget it.

“I felt bullied by her. I was upset for a long time after it happened – it really did affect me.”

But Ben insisted he won’t give up on his career hopes just because of Mel B.

He told the Star: “Thousands apply for the show, I was less than 1% who got to the last 50 and the six chair challenge at bootcamp.

“I’m taking my music career very seriously and now I’d like to find a manager as it’s impossible to do this on my own.”
