You won’t BELIEVE how many people have already applied for Love Island 2019

It's been just one week since the show came to an end

A massive 25,000 people have already applied to be on the next series of Love Island, just one week after this year’s season finale.

By comparison, 85,000 applied to be on the popular ITV2 show last year, so producers will likely have their hands full this year.

Revealing the news on Love Island: The Reunion, host Caroline Flack said, “If you think you have what it takes to flirt outrageously with people like this lot then applications for next year are now open.”

“We’ve already had 25,000 people register.”

To apply for the show, hopefuls must submit their job title, several photos (including a full body shot), and a one minute video.

The advert for applicants reads, “How do you fancy enjoying your very own long hot summer of romance?”

“Love Island will be back for summer 2019 and we’re now on the look out for lively singles from across the country to take part.”

“Once again our Islanders will take up residence in a spectacular luxury villa in the hope of finding love. But to stay on the island, they need to couple up – and more importantly – win the hearts of the public.”

Love Island has become a huge hit with viewers over the past three years, and this year’s grand final attracted an average of 3.6 million viewers – making Love Island ITV2’s most-watched programme ever.

The finale saw early favourites Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer win the £50,000 cash prize, after the couple won the hearts of the nation.

In second place was Laura Anderson and Paul Knops, while Josh Denzel and Kazimir Crossley came third, and Wes Nelson and Megan Barton Hanson were in fourth place.
