WATCH: Trailer for ‘The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann’ is released

The trailer for the docu-series, The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann has been released.

The three-year-old went missing in Portugal in 2007 and her case is one of the most well-known worldwide.

Madeleine was on holiday with her parents, Kate and Gerry, and two siblings when she disappeared from their apartment in Praia da Luz.

The controversial docu-series has been criticised by Madeleine’s parents, who declined to take part in it and urged people they know to also refuse to speak in the documentary.

“Kate and Gerry and their wider family and friends were approached some months ago to participate in the documentary. Kate and Gerry didn’t ask for it and don’t see how it will help the search for Maddie on a practical level, so they chose not to engage,” the couple’s former spokesperson told The Guardian.

The docu-series is set to be released on Netflix on Friday 15th March, two years after it was first commissioned by the streaming platform.
