RTE news presenter Sharon Ni Bheolain is set to do the ice bucket challenge after raising more than €1,000.
Now the Montrose presenter’s target has been met – and Nicky Byrne and Jenny Greene will pour the water over her later on.
She said: “I have to confess I’m not always the biggest fan of nominate or celebrity challenges but I have to make an exception for Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Dunked: Jenny is left a little cold before nominating Sharon
“Having witnessed their brilliant work and unfaltering support for family and care givers personally I will happily take my ice shower in exchange for pledges of at least one thousand euro.
“So dig deep for IMNDA and I’ll step up to the plate!”
She had been nominated by 2FM presenter Jenny Greene after she took the plunge earlier in the week.
Meanwhile, Kathryn Thomas became the latest celebrity to do the ice bucket challenge.
The Voice star had the freezing water poured over her by Marty Whelan – after the Lyric FM presenter nominated her.
Now Kathryn has nominated Marty Morrissey, Imelda May and Miriam O’Callaghan for the charity challenge.
