Voice coach Rachel Stevens finding Irish lingo tough – after promising to SHIFT audience member

New Voice coach Rachel Stevens is finding it tough to get used to the Irish lingo – after promising an audience member the shift.

The former S Club star has joined the RTE show along with Saturdays sensation Una Foden.

But Rachel, 36, is finding being the only non-Irish person on the panel to be a bit tough.

Fellow coach Bressie said: “A guy in the front row asked could he shift her yesterday and she said, ‘Yeah, of course’, not knowing what the shift is.

“I said, ‘Yeah, she’ll do it after the show’. So your man was sitting there all excited and I said, ‘If it doesn’t happen I’ll vouch for you’.”

Meanwhile ex-FHM model Rachel admitted she is loving the chance to actually pick the acts on a talent show – rather than just shout at her TV at home.

She said: “Every Saturday night I’m on the couch in front of the TV, I think we all are with these shows.

“I scream at the TV and really get into it, so to actually get a chance to do it is really exciting.”

And Rachel is already loving the series, despite being made to jump straight in at the deep end.

She added: “It was like being the new kids at school yesterday but it’s good, it’s good to be thrown in the deep end.”
