TV3 schedule set for major shake up

The Seven O'Clock Show is no more

TV3 has made some major changes to their schedule, as soap favourites Coronation Street and Emmerdale are set to return to the station.

The return of the soaps has resulted in the Seven O’Clock Show being renamed the Six O’Clock Show – as the programme, fronted by Lucy Kennedy and Martin King, will now air an hour earlier.

An insider told the Irish Sun, “This will provide a massive boost to ratings for the shows sandwiched in between the soaps and straight after the soaps.”

I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here will also air on the station again from December 1, while Emmerdale and Coronation Street will air at the same time on UTV Ireland.

Favourite: Corrie is set to return to TV3

However, all three popular shows will eventually move permanently from UTV Ireland to TV3, while remaining on UTV in Northern Ireland.

TV3 lost the rights to Corrie and Emmerdale after the arrival of UTV Ireland in 2015, however, that all changed when Virgin Media bought UTV Ireland from ITV for €10 million this year.

TV3 are set to release their future plans for UTV Ireland soon.
