Suits is set to end following its ninth season.
The programme first hit screens in 2011 and USA Network has now announced that the show has been renewed for its final season.
The legal drama is currently airing its eighth season on American television and USA Network president, Chris McCumber, released a statement in which he said: “Suits has played an instrumental role in our network’s DNA for nearly a decade.”
“I and everyone at USA Network sincerely thank Aaron Korsh, our partners at UCP and the entire Suits family for their tremendous creativity, devotion and support over a truly amazing run.”
Meghan Markle and her on-screen husband, played by Patrick J Adams, both left the show shortly before the Duchess’ marriage to Prince Harry in 2018.
