His X Factor band Stereo Kicks is a huge hit at home with viewers, but Chris Leonard has revealed he thinks he is cursed.
The Meath teenager came down with a fever this week, and said he’s had a seriously spooky week in the X Factor house.
“I got this terrible fever and went to bed with antibiotics. I was praying the thing would clear up in time for me to perform,” he explained.
“I was getting knocks on the door in the middle of the night, and handles being pushed down on doors. It was very creepy.”

“It reminded me of this little cottage in front of my estate in Co Meath. There’s a rope that hangs down there, like a swing,” he said.
“I once saw a shadow there that looked like a little girl. It was very weird.”
But speaking to the Irish Sun Chris said the support from home has kept him going in the competition.
“The support from Ireland has been fantastic. My mam and dad have sent me over clippings and articles. I never expected such an amazing reaction. I am totally honoured and humbled.”
