RTE bosses have revealed that Love/Hate’s Fran is set to return as a “violent” nutter out to kill Nidge in the latest series of the show.
Lips have been tightly sealed up to this point about the latest series, which will be back on our screens on October 5.
But a leaked RTE document reveals that lawless Fran – played by Peter Coonan – becomes “increasingly violent, erratic and resentful of Nidge’s authority” in the new season.

The document also revealed that “tensions between Nidge and the pretender Fran are starting to spill over into conflict.”
However, all isn’t plain sailing for bad boy Nidge – played by Tom Vaughan Lawlor – in the upcoming series either.
The rootless character has had to take a loan from a drug dealer in Spain to cover the financial hit of a botched operation from the previous series.

Leaked scene information also confirmed that Nidge hasn’t got away with the brutal golf club attact her performed on Tommy as Siobhan wants revenge.
“As Nidge’s ambition reaches it’s zenith, the seeds of disaster are already sown in his past and his enemies are circling for revenge,” the document confirmed.
