Emilia Clarke has just dropped a major spoiler regarding her Game of Thrones character Daenerys Targaryen’s future.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the much-loved actress revealed that the Mother of Dragons will survive until the eighth and final season – but then, that’ll be it.
Fans were left devastated when show creators announced that the eighth season would be the last, but were left hopeful when rumours of spin-off shows started circulating.
However, Emilia has now dashed hopes that Khaleesi will feature in any spin-off show.

“I mean, I have no doubt there’ll be prequels and sequels and who knows what else. But I am doing one more season. And then that’ll be it,” she said.
The British star also hinted that Daenerys will finally land in Westeros in the upcoming season.
“Spoiler alert – I normally don’t spend very much time in Belfast, but this last season I spent a little more time there.
“It’s a really interesting season in terms of some loose ends that have been tied, some really satisfying plot points, some things where you’re like, ‘Oh, my God. I forgot about that!’ Rumours are going to be confirmed or denied”, she continued.
Emilia has been playing the role of Daenerys Targaryen since 2011, and admitted that it’s going to be emotional when Game of Thrones finally wraps in 2018.
“It makes me emotional to think about,” she said. “It’s my beginning, middle and end – the single thing that has changed me most as an adult.”
Game of Thrones will return to Sky Atlantic on July 17.
