Sophie Turner says final season of Game of Thrones is the ‘bloodiest yet’

We're so excited for the final season!

Sophie Turner has revealed that the final season of Game of Thrones will be the “bloodiest yet”.

The final season of the show won’t air until next year, but Sophie, who plays Sansa Stark in the hit HBO series, is getting fans excited already.

The actress told Gold Derby, “It’s Game Of Thrones so it’s going to be bloodier and more death and more emotionally torturous than all the years before.”

This is a big statement, as Game of Thrones has always been extremely graphic.

Fans won’t forget that infamous scene from season four’s The Red Wedding episode, in which nearly all of the Stark family, including Robb Stark’s pregnant wife, were brutally murdered in an extremely violent scene.

The Red Wedding caused uproar amongst GOT fans, and this season will no doubt be the same.

Opening up about the final season of Game of Thrones, Sophie revealed that the entire cast “applauded and wept” at the final table read.

The 22-year-old also revealed that her character, Sansa, is embracing her role as a fighter in the final season of the hit HBO show.

“I always saw something of a warrior in Sansa that I don’t think other people really saw,” she said. “I always had the feeling that she was learning and adapting and at some point or another it was going to manifest itself somehow.”

“And she manifested it into being a warrior. It felt really satisfying when it happened, and I’m really happy where this story-line for her has ended up.”

While it’s not clear whether Sophie has shot her final GOT scene, her co-star Emilia Clarke has filmed her final scene as Danearys Targaryean.

In an emotional post on Instagram, the actress wrote, “Hopped on a boat to an island to say goodbye to the land that has been my home away from home for almost a decade.
It’s been a trip @gameofthrones thank you for the life I never dreamed I’d be able to live and the family I’ll never stop missing #lastseasonitis.”
