Laura Whitmore is in line to present the new series of Xtra Factor alongside Rylan Clark.
The MTV presenter – who hosts I’m A Celebrity’s spin-off show – has been screen tested for the role.
Now sources have revealed that Laura, 28, and former contestant Rylan, 25, could be taking over in a massive shake up to the ITV2 show.
It would mean that Caroline Flack, 34, and Matt Richardson, 22, would be dumped by Simon Cowell.

A source said: “It’s a pretty stressful time, because Laura and Rylan have been screen tested but obviously, that makes it look like Caroline and Matt could be for the chop.
“The final decision isn’t made until the last minute – Olly Murs only found out he had the job just days before he started filming. So it’s quite tense, as it’s a big deal.
“Caroline and Matt could still come back, but as the first round of open auditions are already under way, everybody knows a decision is imminent and it’s pretty nerve-racking.”
If Laura is picked to take over it would make her the second Irish person working on the show, alongside Louis Walsh who is expected to be announced as a returning judge soon.
