Hollywood star Saoirse Ronan’s dad has revealed he loved playing a drugs dealer in the upcoming series of Love/Hate.
Paul Ronan filmed with the RTE show for three days nearly Dublin Zoo, with sources revealing he works on Nidge’s drug operation.
The 49-year-old’s character is brought in to help transport a multi-million euro shipment of drugs as Nidge works on boosting his struggling criminal empire.

And Paul said he loved his role on the show – although admitted that show bosses kept him in the dark on the rest of the series.
“I’m a big fan of the series – it’s the best TV being made in the country. I was delighted to be involved with the cast and crew,” he said.
“I play a haulier who shares scenes with some gang members. I can’t say anymore than that. I’ve no idea of the overall plot because I only got my part of the script.
“It’s incredible how big a hit the drama has become but it is reflective of its sheer quality. It has a very big fan base and people can’t seem to get enough of it even when it’s off the TV.”
