Tommy Tiernan has been revealed as one of Ray D’Arcy’s first guests on his new RTE chat show.
The comedian has been booked in hopes that he will kick the series off with an outrageous and potentially controversial start.
The Donegal native will be live on Ray’s couch with the aim to show audiences that anything can happen.

“This is sending out a clear message. The Ray D’Arcy show will be anything but predictable. Anything can happen,” an insider told The Irish Sun.
Tommy has had several controversial appearances on talk shows in the past and was once unable to leave RTE studios for several hours after a Late Late Show broadcast because of protesters outside who took issue with a Crucifixion joke.
Ray rehearsed for his opening night with the likes of Mary Burke from Crystal Swing, comic Fred Cooke and three bloggers.
“It went really well. Ray was in great form and he’s confident he and his team have a good show,” the source said.
