Prepare to cringe: New Tallafornia series to be sold abroad to UK

Makers of the new tacky Tallafornia-style series Infectious are hoping to sell the show to the UK.

Producers have decided not just to set their hopes on getting it screened in Ireland – after the success of Geordie Shore and The Valleys.

Bosses believe that MTV, Channel 5, or another Sky channel would be interested in picking up the programme.

“Already there have been some people talking about the show in the UK, and there’s a real belief it will be picked up over there,” a source said.

“Remember, Tallafornia was bought by Channel 5 – so there’s prior in an Irish reality show being bought in the UK.

“After the Valleys and Geordie Shore, channels are crying out for shows like what Infectious will be.”

Goss.ie revealed this weekend that former Tallafornians Nikita Murray, Marc O’Neill and Phil Penny have signed up as part of the cast of Infectious.

They are also joined by others including controversial glamour model Ava Van Rose and Gay Night host David D-Pole for the new series.
