Oliver Callan's new show WILL include a sketch about Paul Galvin

Daring comedian Oliver Callan has already filmed a comedy sketch, making fun of GAA star Paul Galvin.

It comes three years after Paul “attacked” the comedian in a Dublin pub after he was unhappy with a radio sketch Oliver did about him.

But the RTE star is ready for round two, and admitted the new sketch is hilarious, and involves radio star fiance Louise Duffy.

“Now it’s summer GAA is on people’s minds and Paul Galvin is getting married so he is an obvious target.

“He is in an episode of Don’t Tell The Bride where he is making all the decisions for his big fat hipster wedding.

“And then he gets angry with people dressing him in his groom attire which is a top hat and
some very very tight trousers,” he told the Irish Mirror.

“He is probably the easiest one because I know exactly how he is going to react – he’s not going to like it.

“But this is satire, you have to not be afraid to do it,” he said.

Oliver’s new RTE show Callan’s Kicks starts tomorrow night at 9.30pm. And the comedian says he isn’t worried about hurting anyone’s feelings.

“I don’t care at this stage. This is my job – to make fun of people…Some people take themselves and this business very seriously,” he said.

“And when you hold a mirror up to them and show them how the world sees them sometimes they get a nasty shock and react very badly.”
