Nidge won't be happy: Love/Hate are banned from Dublin Zoo

Love/Hate has been banned from filming at Dublin Zoo – forcing bosses to just shoot scenes outside.

The RTE show has approached the tourist attraction with the hope of filming alongside some of their fearful creatures.

But Dublin Zoo decided to ban access to the site after deciding they were too busy to allow them on site.

A spokeswoman said: “Zoo bosses were approached but they couldn’t facilitate filming.

“It’s just crazy busy at the moment and there’s a lot of stuff going on in the Zoo so it wasn’t suitable.”

Instead Love/Hate stars –  including Tom Vaughan Lawlor – were spotted filming in the Phoenix Park near to the entrance as a huge crowd formed.

Sources revealed that the show decided to improvise outside – before faking scenes as if they took place inside the Zoo.

Already it has emerged that one major character – potentially Nidge, Fran or Tommy – will be murdered in the show’s fifth season.
