New series of I’m A Celebrity ‘in jeopardy’ as forest fires devastate Australia

This doesn't sound good...

The upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! could be in jeopardy, as forest fires continue to cause devastation in Australia.

The popular ITV series is set to return to our screens in a matter of weeks, but show bosses might have to consider moving this year’s camp.

As present, firefighters are struggling to tackle the blaze in Springbrook National Park, New South Wales, which is making it’s way towards the ITV’s £7 million camp.

A source told The Sun: “ITV’s jungle is actually a banana plantation that cost £7million to turn into a working TV studio so if the fire gets any closer to it there will be some very worried executives.”

“For now they’re crossing their fingers that the weather helps them and the firefighters keep on top of the worst of it.”

An ITV spokesperson has since told The Daily Star: “We are in contact with the New South Wales fire brigade and we currently have no immediate cause for concern.”
