Netflix confirm ‘Stranger Things’ season three release date

Netflix has finally confirmed that the third season of ‘Stranger Things’ will be released on the 4th of July, 2019.

The Netflix original series follows the residents of Hawkins, who encounter some supernatural beings.

The teaser trailer is set in 1984 and shows a clip of ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’ special with seconds to go until the ball drops – but something interferes.

The video cuts off, and is followed by a secret coded message that reads: “When blue and yellow meet in the west.”

Netflix previously released a teaser for season three, which revealed it has nine-episodes, and will be set during the summer.

The previous two seasons have both taken place in the fall, with scenes set during Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
