Meryl Streep has officially joined the cast of Big Little Lies, season 2.
The Oscar-winning actress will join stars Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, Zoe Kravtiz and Shailene Woodley in the new series.
Meryl will play Mary Louise Wright, the mother to the abusive Perry Wright (Alexander Skarsgard).
It’s also been revealed Alexander will feature again in the new series.
The news comes as the show earned multiple awards at the SAGs and Golden Globes this month.
Nicole Kidman, Alexander Skarsgard and Laura Dern all won Best Actor gongs at the awards.
