As Goss.ie exclusively revealed this week, Laura Whitmore has lost out on the coveted Xtra Factor role.
Last night Caroline Flack confirmed she has left the show, and now it has emerged that DJ and presenter Sarah-Jane Crawford has landed the gig.
The popular DJ confirmed the news this morning, writing: “Morning! Really thrilled to say that I’ll be the new host of #XtraFactor this year!!!! Thanks to the X team for seeing something in me!”
Sarah-Jane is a regular on the London social scene and his even been pictured with Laura at events together.

Similar to Laura, Sarah-Jane works for MTV, she has provided the voice for the Official UK Top 40 chart on MTV and currently hosts the Official Urban Chart on the station.
And this morning the Wicklow presenter even offered her congratulations after losing out.
She said: “Massive congrats to my pal Sarah Jane on her new TVÂ job! I’ll be watching from Oz! Though will miss you not out there this year. I need a new cocktail buddy!

Sarah-Jane also hosts a weekday show on BBC Radio 1Xtra which airs live from Monday to Friday 1-4.00pm.
The presenter has also interviewed top celebrities for her show. Like Laura, Sarah-Jane also appeared on FHM and even featured in British Vogue magazine.

Earlier this week Goss.ie revealed X Factor bosses “liked Laura” but decided she wasn’t right for this job.
Sarah-Jane, 28, is just one year younger than Laura.
