Laurence Kinlan has revealed the Love/Hate stars wore disguises when they flew to Spain to film the RTE show.
But the TV star – who plays Elmo – said it turned out to be a doomed bid by himself and Tom Vaughan Lawlor when they were quickly spotted.
He said: “We were told just to arrive at the airport, to go to Spain discreetly and try not to get recognised.
“So myself and Tom arrived at the airport in big Mexican sun hats and glasses. We were sitting on the plane together and people put two and two together.”

And Laurence said it even ended up with the cabin crew on their plane asking for pictures.
He added: “There were all these Irish tourists going off on holiday and they were coming up asking for autographs.
“We even got asked to take a picture with some of the cabin crew. It was all good fun though.
“It was great to film away somewhere different and it was really interesting.”
