Love/Hate creator Stuart Carolon SLAMS claims the show will end this season

Love/Hate’s creator has blasted claims the RTE series is set to end.

Defiant Stuart Carolan revealed he is in the middle of creating the sixth season of the gangland drama.

It had been claimed by the Irish Sun that it was going to go out on a high in six weeks time. After sources have claimed that an explosive ending to the show had already been written.

However, speaking at the premiere of new movie ’71, Stuart dismissed the rumours – insisting he can’t wait for more of Nidge and co.

“You read loads of things in the paper. We are in development for the sixth series but I don’t know what’s going to happen,” he said.

“We are developing a sixth series at the moment so it’s not over, no. But RTE could turn around after this series and say, ‘We don’t want it’.

“At the moment the sixth series is in development process but I can’t say if it’s 100%.”

“I would be up for doing a sixth series, I have tons of ideas but you don’t know what the response to the series is going to be.”

“People could hate it and then it doesn’t matter,” he explained.

Stuart feels that the public will be wanting more – but isn’t concerned with the audiences reaction.

“I hate jinxing it, I don’t know. My feeling is that the show will do well,” he said.

“I am beyond feeling pressure at this stage – I just think ‘F**k it. What can you do?’ I think they are solid and am really happy with them.

“I think this series is a combination of the third and fourth series.”
