Love/Hate star Mary Murray has called for TV bosses to introduce “Nidgella” – a female rival to Nidge.
The RTE star – who plays prostitute Janet in the series – said it is time for a women to take on gang boss Nidge in the next series.
She said: “It would be great if there was a female Nidge in the next series.
“We could call her ‘Nidgella’. I think it would be brilliant if there was a female boss like that to balance things out.”

Yesterday, Goss.ie told how Mary was delighted that creator Stuart Carolan had brought in more women to the show.
And the 35-year-old said that the Love/Hate boss had admitted that he needed to bring more females in a long time ago.
She said: “I think there are more women in it now. I think that was a decision Stuart made a year or so ago.
“I am happy women’s roles are getting bigger because women don’t get enough parts on TV or in theatre.”
