Love Island winner Amber Gill reveals her mum wants her to MARRY Greg O’Shea

The 21-year-old thinks the rugby player is "definitely marriage material"

Amber Gill has revealed that her mum wants her to marry Greg O’Shea, just days after the pair were crowned the winners of Love Island 2019.

The winning couple, who returned to the UK today with the other finalists, have made their romance official since leaving the villa – and Amber’s mum approves.

Amber told the UK Mirror: “My mam definitely wants me to marry Greg. I feel like Greg is definitely marriage material.”

Now that they’ve left the villa, Greg and Amber will have to make a long distance relationship work.

Greg is mostly based in Dublin and regularly travels as a professional rugby player, while Amber is permanently based in Newcastle.

But Amber said: “We are prepared to put in the work. You make it work if you want to make it work, and if don’t, you don’t. I’m not particularly worried about it.”

Greg added: “I live in Dublin and it’s a really quick fight to England so it’s a lot easier than it looks on paper. At the moment we’re just delighted and we’ll see how it goes.”

Speaking about Monday night’s final, Greg put their win down to Amber’s popularity throughout the series.

He said: “My girl Amber smashed it the whole way. She’s been in from the first day and she’s had an incredible journey and I was just happy I could come in and help her out and put a smile back on her face.

“Now we are together and she’s had a great last couple of weeks I hope we just go from here now.”

When asked about their winnings, the rugby player said he plans to invest his chunk of the £50k because it’s “probably the smartest thing to do”.

Amber plans to put her money into savings, but said she’ll buy “at least one” designer outfit before that.
