In the same night Michael got booted from Love Island, the firefighter has reunited with his former flame Joanna.
The pair both appeared on ITV 2’s After Sun, one night after Michael left the villa for real.
Appearing on the show first, the audience booed Michael multiple times when he opened up about how he treated Amber and why he dumped her for Joanna.
Speaking about why he didn’t leave the villa with Joanna, Michael admitted: “I’ve never quit on anything in my life, and I wasn’t going to start that.”
Joanna was then brought on to the show, to chat to Caroline Flack alongside Michael.
Talking about watching Michael trying to crack on with Amber again, Joanne said: “It was quite shocking.”
She also said she did mean it when she called Michael a “snake”, the night he didn’t leave her.
Confronting Michael on the show, Joanna said: “I thought we had something really good.”
But Michael replied: “You can have feelings for more than one person at the same time.”
