Love Island: Curtis’ family defends him after Amy Hart break up

Love Island’s Curtis Pritchard has faced criticism from viewers, after the professional dancer’s head was turned during Casa Amor.

Many took to social media to express their thoughts on how he handled the situation with “half-girlfriend” Amy Hart.

Amy reportedly required therapy and emotional support following the break up.

His uncle has since come to his defence, saying he’s “a good lad”.

Phil Pritchard told The Irish Sunday Mirror newspaper that:

“For Amy to say Curtis is a compulsive liar is unfair – he is a good lad, he would not intentionally hurt anybody.”

Amy is being taken care of by the Love Island well-being facilities following the break up.

A spokesperson told The Sun Online: “We take the emotional well-being of all the Islanders extremely seriously.”

“We have dedicated welfare producers and psychological support on hand at all times who monitor and regularly speak to all of the Islanders in private and off camera, especially if someone appears to be upset.”

This week’s Love Island has been explosive, following the break up of Michael and Amber, and Maura’s bombshell revelation that she fancies Curtis.

Love Island continues on Sunday night at 9pm on Virgin Media Two.
