Niall Aslam has quit Love Island due to “personal reasons”, it has been revealed.
The news will come as a shock to fans of the show, as Niall was an early favourite to win the series.
According to the MailOnline, the news will be announced to the villa on Tuesday night’s episode by fellow contestant Dr Alex George.
Speaking to the Islanders, he reads, “For personal reasons unfortunately he can’t continue or come back to the Villa.”
Obviously in shock, Georgia Steel, who was coupled up with Niall, says, “Obviously I was coupled up with him so obviously I came closer to him than most people in here but it wasn’t just that. He was actually my friend, my buddy.”
A spokesperson for Love Island confirmed the news to MailOnline saying, “Niall has left the villa for personal reasons and won’t be returning to the show.”
It’s not yet clear how the departure will effect Georgia’s place in the Villa.
