X Factor judge Louis Walsh has warned the show will be cancelled if they don’t beat Strictly Come Dancing in the ratings war.
The music manager admitted that Simon Cowell will not allow the show to continue if ratings decrease.
“Simon will only keep it going as long as it’s the number one show. If it starts to slip he will not want it.
“He wants to have the number one show on TV,” he said.

“The last time he was on the panel it was the top show and he’s back now. And he likes to be number on,” he told the Star Sunday.
Simon said Louis was right, and he would be looking to axe the show if it didn’t perform well this year.
“In this day and age when you look at the overall numbers, which are down, we’re very lucky that we’re still on air at the moment.
“If I’d been asked about the future of the show ten years ago I’d never imagine we’d still be making it in 2014.
“Once people get bored with it or if we get bored with it, for sure I’ll drop it.”
