Louis Walsh insists new X Factor stars Blonde Electra AREN'T just 'Jedward in drag'

X Factor judge Louis Walsh has insisted that the new siblings in his life are no Jedward.

The Mayo man – who used to managed the Eurovision brothers – is now coaching US sisters Blonde Electra on the ITV series.

But Louis, 61, doesn’t think they are just “Jedward in drag”.

He added: “I don’t know about that. I think the girls are different. They can really sing and they love putting on a show.

“I don’t want to lose them. I know they are a little bit out there – but that’s good.”

But Louis said he understands why people think Blonde Electra are like John and Edward, who were also known for their excitable X Factor performances.

He said: “They are, a little bit [like Jedward], to a lot of people. Maybe. But that’s okay.” He added: “I have never seen Jedward in drag so I don’t really know.”

But asked by Simon Cowell on the X Factor whether he’s ever dreamt about Jedward in drag, Louis laughed: “No Simon, I haven’t.”

Previously Louis admitted that he was worried the Americans could be the first voted off.
